Marshall

CL Ryan "Stork" Holbrook - southpaw who pounds the mitt at 99mph. Career numbers are all you need to look at. 6-1, 26 saves, 1.65 era, 0.86 whip, 65.1 ip, 2 hr, 6 bb, 79 k's. As long as he stays healthy, one of the top closers in next seasons draft, without a doubt.

MR Carlos "Big Shot" Laurenzana - still has three seasons to go before we get a crack at him, but another southpaw who can bring some heat and posted very nice numbers as a freshman, hard to ignore the nearly 6 to 1 k/w ratio.

Ss Luis Gonglas - projects to be one of those pesky hard to get out types, will work a pitcher well. Career 67 bb, 31 k. .295/.377 career. Has contributed 18 hr in three seasons as well. Very good speed has netted him 27 swiped bags. Has spent most of his career at second base, but could play anywhere on the infield at an exceptional level. Just ONE error EACH of the last two seasons, and only 3 errors in his freshman season. Speed, defense, can work a pitcher. I like this guy.

Memphis Belles

Note, this team is loaded with talent that won't be available for one or more seasons, but be sure to acquaint yourself with C Jeff Carroll, Cf Antonio Morales, Ss Carlos Rodriguez, 3b Alberto Rodriguez, 2b Jose Miranda.

C Jason Gordon - as mentioned, there is a ton of talent on this team, but the best hitting prospect to come out this year is the rather bland catcher Jason Gordon. What might make Gordon seem most uninteresting is that he is unlikely to get playing time with stud Jeff Carroll in the system. But Gordon posted some decent numbers in limited at bats last year, and projects to be an at least average catcher according to my scouts. OSA scouts think he will be above average with some very nice power.

SP Stephen Mason - righthander with good endurance, and GREAT control. Has walked just 23 batters in 172.1 innings while striking out 143. 11-10 3.81 career numbers. Can bring it in the low 90's, and scouts as a back of the rotation type. The intangibles are a bit weak, and the limited three pitch arsenal is a bit of a downer, but if he continues putting up the numbers he might be a decent middle of the rotation type someday.

Michigan Red Dawns

SP Ramon Roman - ugh, what were his parents thinking? Not a prospect, will be an early second day flyer for someone who wants a really bad name cluttering thier ss-a roster.
