New unis, new caps and a new logo are on their way to the Trendsetters Single A team in the North American Farm Team Affiliation League. What had, for years, been named the Ensenada Cenicientas del Pacifico will now change their name to the Ensenada Las Brujas Malvadas after Jack Cobb, the owner of the New Orleans Trendsetters, found out that “Cenicientas del Pacifico” meant “Cinderella's of the Pacific”. I mean, what an absolutely horrible name to put on your team. It sounds like the local bilingual doll collection society, not a professional baseball team.” The new moniker of “Las Brujas Malvadas” translates to “The Evil Witches”.  Cobb continued on about the reason for the change, “This club was pretty much wussified for years. We had somebody in a ball gown for a mascot and we did stupid promotions like “Dance with a Prince Night” where lucky contestants who entered at the local Soriana Super Market had a chance to be drawn for a promotion whereas the lucky contestant danced with a randomly chosen player and if the crowd chose theirs as the best dance, by applause, the winner got to try on a glass slipper. If the slipper fit, the player had to marry the contestant. In the 32 year history of the Ensenada ballclub, an amazing 12 players had been married off. This did get the team and a few players in trouble when in 2026, the contest winner won the hand of catcher, Chia Luing Guang. It turns out that not only did Guang NOT understand the rules of the contest (or English or Spanish for that matter) but it turns out that he was already married. Surprisingly, bigamy is illegal in the U.S., South Korea and Mexico.

The new logo will be of a witch riding a broomstick on a black, green and orange logo. The logo was designed by the marketing firm of Crescent City Ideas Inc. and was the team name was more or less chosen by a poll among fans and fellow PEBA owners. According to team Director of Marketing, Hollis McCarthy, “The actual winner in the poll was ‘Ensenada Hermanastras Malvadas’ or ‘Ensenada Evil Stepsisters’. However, the logo of a frowning girl was just kind of lame. So, we came up with Las Brujas Malvadas and the new logo.

According to Cobb, this will also change the promotional schedule as a witches hat giveaway will replace the glass slipper giveaway and a broom on wheels will replace the carriage that used to bring relievers into the game. While the carriage was very well appointed, it had a tendency to turn into a pumpkin if the game ran too late.
