Reggie Raines Aggravates Groin Injury During Rehab

While rehabbing a strained groin at the new Daniel Woods Jr. Rehabilitation Center, Reggie Raines aggravated the injury, and will miss an additional 3 weeks according to head team trainer Oliverio Pérez. Raines, already predicted to miss all of May, will now miss at least half of June, including a rehab stint down in AAA Newport News. Reggie had this to say about the bad news;

"It's frustrating, you know? I want to be out there with the boys, helping them win. Instead, I'm stuck indoors for five to six hours every day trying to heal. It sucks. But, now I'll try to do it right, and get out there properly."

The Bureaucrats are 13-3 since his injury on April 30th. Manager Soh Sato, when asked how he feels this will impact the team, had this to say;

"It's unfortunate. We want him out there as badly as any fan does, and it's great to know that the team is able to pick up the slack in his absence."

Team trainer Oliverio Pérez, an expert in lower body treatments, feels optimistic following this setback.

"It's happened to the best of them. I know Reggie was taking every precaution he could have taken to get back into physical form. In my experience, I haven't seen more than one setback affect someone coming back from this type of injury. He should be back to playing form within the estimate 3 weeks.
