Looks like he turned London around and won a title, was released and no job for 4 years. Goes to San Juan and turns them around. Wins a title there and is jobless in 34.

Dylan - Wind Dancers

Probably around the time one of the previous SJ GM's left or was getting ready to leave and didn't bother to re-sign his coaches

Unfortunate that I will have to miss the draft because of a required meeting, of all years to have to miss. Probably my most important draft in our history. 11 picks in the first 5 rds.

I hope you did not mind our house music choices. My cousin over in Aurora was eager to recognize the championship won at Montserrat of the IBC – as that island nation has come back to life with the assistance of our families business endeavors. The music industry is alive once more on the island, and it’s fabulous to see PEBA making a difference globally – and not just on the diamond.

WikipediaWikipedia
Music for Montserrat
Music For Montserrat was a benefit concert held on 15 September 1997 at the Royal Albert Hall. The event was organised by Sir George Martin, former producer for The Beatles and founder of Associated Independent Recording, to raise funds for the Caribbean island of Montserrat after a major volcanic eruption by the Soufrière Hills volcano earlier that year.
The concert was arranged and produced by Martin, and starred many iconic British and American rock musicians such as Phil Collins, Ray Cooper, Carl Perkins, Jimmy Buffett, Mark Knopfler, Sting, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, Midge Ure, Arrow and many more, all of whom had once recorded or produced on the island. A DVD was released… Show more

Great musical choice, especially McCarthy’s memorable and moving anthem.

Mike - Borealis
7:04 AM
But, before we get to the mundane, I hope you enjoyed our introductory music, chosen as we honor and congratulate the West Virginia Alleghenies and their GM, Greg Abcarian, for their impressive post-season run – culminating in the first sweep in the PEC since Aurora accomplished that feat with their 2019 win over Connecticut. There have only been three sweeps in PEC history - the third, also involving Aurora, was in 2014 as Charleston swept away the Borealis. This is the third Rodriguez Cup for West Virginia in four tries.

Shouldn’t we retire the cup--and Greg--after so much success. Sell off the West Virginia roster to the rest of the league?

RJ - Sandgnats
7:05 AM
Hey Jaime!

Mike - Borealis
7:05 AM
Lastly, I’d like to congratulate the 2037 Sovereign League Champion Toyama Wind Dancers and their GM Dylan Kruplis for another fine season and their second SL title.
7:06
Speaking of Dylan, as previously mentioned – please send any trades you have in a separate Slack channel to me, Dylan and your trade partner. Please be sure to include the ACTUAL (not what you think) minor league level of any minor league player dealt. Once we announce the trade, please post it in the forums as normal. The Commish will then confirm the trades and adjust the Draft Pick Trade Tally.
7:07
We will move through the four days of Winter Meetings throughout our time here and any announcements of signings will be made at that time. When we are done, we will have a new file posted for you to download.

Dylan - Wind Dancers
7:08 AM
The sim itself will be 6 days though
:beers:
3

Mike - Borealis
7:08 AM
And, of course, one of the most important things to remember is if you have Rule 5 players to protect, you must do so before Tuesday’s sim!!! Or forever hold your peace. No roster moves are allowed between Tuesday and Thursday’s sims. This is very important if you’ve traded for a Rule 5 eligible player!
7:09
Cheers, Cheers, and Cheers let’s get this party started… We have our first trade of the 2037 Winter Meetings to announce!

Michael - Hitmen
7:34 AM
Thank you sir.
7:35
Hello, my name is Wojtek Kamien and I am here representing the New Jersey Hitmen and owner Bernardo Antollini who was not able to make it here today due to meetings with our advertising teams.
Thank you. This is a big moment for the fans of New Jersey and our ownership. In just 3 short seasons after our return from the World Independent League, your Hitmen have returned to the glory of playoff baseball in the Planetary Extreme Baseball Alliance.
We hope to replicate the types of sustained success New Jersey enjoyed in 2007-09 and 2013-17 to really bring the fans an enjoyable experience. To commemorate our quick recovery to relevance, after 31 seasons as a franchise, we have decided to bring some class back to New Jersey and turn back the clock to a old yet fresh and noir representation of your Hitmen.
We present to you, our new Hitmen image. We are excited to share with you soon our new uniforms and advertising partnerships as New Jersey continues to move forward in this beautiful and classic age of PEBA baseball.
Thank you.

7:44 AM
An Announcement from the Office of the Commissioner:
In the vein of rebranding and artwork - one of my pet projects over the years has always been to eliminate – albeit slowly, the default artwork that still exists in the PEBAverse. I’ve pieced together much of the WIL and feeders myself – logo-wise, but there still are a few PEBA Organization and feeder teams that need to be spiffied up! The Office of the Commissioner is always happy to hand out bonus CP for those who want to get ‘their art on’ and help out the PEBA rid itself of default art!

If that’s the case, then I have a question, Mike. You helped me with a complete overhaul of Yuma’s graphics when we changed our team name. But in game, the same old tired capital Y in the middle of a diamond shows up on my team’s home page, not the nifty arroyo image we see here in Slack.

Evan - Underground
8:23 AM
Underground owner Cyan Winters is here today representing the team yet again at the Winter Meetings, but for the first time as owner. He wears a Union Jack lapel pin despite being American, a fact that the certain news programs would latch onto with predictable and stupid voracity in the following days.
Mr. Kamien before mentioned he wished he had done more to prepare for his announcement so I would like to start off by apologizing for doing even less. I am here today to announce an exciting new era for the Underground. Under the new ownership of my conglomerate Winters Baseball Unlimited we have decided now is the time to re-imagine the many faces of Underground baseball. To that end, we are announcing a multi-year program to rebrand our minor league programs in Wasilla, Birmingham, Liverpool, and Leeds. Our first team to undergo a facelift is the Leeds Rhinos who will hit the field in 2038 as the Leeds Locomotives. Leeds is and has been a major rail hub in Britain. Leeds was also the location of several companies producing locomotives, steam and otherwise throughout history including the Hunslet Engine Company and Kitson and Co. This rebrand aligns the team more closely to the Underground while striving to form a more direct historical connection to their city - which does not have any native Rhinoceros.
Unfortunately due to budget cuts and staffing shortages in our graphic design and marketing departments I do not yet have the team's new logo to share with you all, but additional details will be forthcoming. In homage to the Rhinos the team will keep the familiar blue/yellow combination, although the exact colors will likely change somewhat to reflect a more modern aesthetic.
Our journey will continue next year in Liverpool. Until then, God Save the King!
Of course referring to Prince William who ascended to the throne following the in-universe death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II following her throwing of the first pitch in the 2034 season opener in London. This would further enrage those upset about the lapel pin, by the way. Winters would then step down and return to his seat to undoubtedly tepid and uninterested applause.

9:24 AM
Hey guys, I just to remind everyone that we WILL be migrating to OOTP24 on May 5th. We have mostly ironed out some earlier issues we were having though we will need to make a quick-fix once we do actually transfer. I will post on the forum with more details but there are a few things you should prep for in 24.
1. The new INT FA system. Less random discoveries, MUCH more INT FA's to sign. Training each month between the showcase and the INT signings period. Etc.
2. "Cash" is now "money available" and the calculations for it are a bit different.
9:25
Like I said, I'll go into more details on the forum, but if you have 24 already, now would be a good time to test things out.

v24 does weird things reporting the ’37 financial data - it’s best not to lose sleep over it; no matter at which point I choose to import into v24, I still get the same inconsistent reporting. The good news, it doesn’t seem to persist, nor create incorrect money flows over the future. It’s just a different way of viewing your money that will take time to get used to. We will be making sure the financial situation looks correct before unleashing the kracken on you…

An Announcement from the Office of the Commissioner:
(the last planned one…)
The Office of the Commissioner wants to encourage all GMs of the PEBA to embrace the historical importance of putting pen to paper - or fingers to keys, as the case may be, and make an effort to be more creative with the writing part of our great League. This past season just 7 GMs wrote at least 1 piece within their teams blog space, and 11 GMs (some the same, some as CP reward requirements) posted at least one article to the PEBA Front Page. I know time gets tight - I found it very hard as the season wound down, but I’m sure there are plenty of exciting stories with every club and I bet the League would be excited to hear from everyone. Thank You.
