Oikake Maze to Expand for the 3rd Straight Year

#1 Post by Ghosts »

Niihama, Japan - December 21, 2032

For the third consecutive year, the Niihama-shi Ghosts will expand Oikake Maze to house additional seating. This year's expansion includes a total of 5,000 additional seats and will expand the regular season capacity by over 400,000. This expansion comes as the Ghosts set a new franchise record for ticket sales in 2032, increasing the record set in 2031 from 3.475M to 3.615M. Clearly, the organization hopes to continue this trend in 2033. While the team has been active in the off-season, acquiring a bevvy of new players, no stars or even washed up big time players akin to last year's signing of Tugboat can be found among them. With fan interest on the decline, the timing of such an expansion has critics denouncing owner Vanni Bruno and his GM Dan Vail for being out of touch with reality.
Reached for comment, GM Dan Vail had the following cryptic message for fans, "The Ghosts have been and will continue to be an organization dedicated to competing and winning at the absolute highest level of baseball. We are here to win championships, and while we continue to build the organization to that end, the fruits of that labor will be evident to fans sooner than they may expect. We are going to play damn fine baseball, and we're excited that more fans than ever will have a chance to witness the Ghosts become a powerhouse."
The Ghosts are coming off a 127 loss record and arguably their biggest acquisitions to date this offseason are Kyle Tatham and Peter Casey, who contributed to Yuma's Ghost-busting 121 loss season. Meanwhile, season ticket prices are up almost 10% over last season.
