Re: Balanced vs Division Biased Schedule
Wait what?! We actually have a balanced schedule? I was trying to compete in the past two seasons only because I thought we have a division biased schedule and my division is easier (due to two rebuilding teams) than many others. On the other hand, that also means Hartford deserves, kinda, to be in playoff.
As for my preference, I personally like a slightly bias schedule. Don't have to be a lot games higher between division and non-division, but I do appreciate some extra games against division opposition so division isn't just for show.

Re: Balanced vs Division Biased Schedule
This right here! Having a balanced schedule means we can compare records across all teams in the league and be reasonably confident that they reflect each team's quality relative to one another (Pythagorean variances aside, sorry Florida). Any other way and the stronger teams in a division with the worst clubs get an unfair leg up when it comes to wild cards etc.Arroyos wrote: ↑Sat Sep 12, 2020 5:51 pm I am constitutionally opposed to any schedule that imitates the old and defunct MLB. It's dead and gone, let it rest in ignominy. Our balanced schedule is more equitable than anything the former MLB ever devised (after they stupidly abandoned the 8 team leagues in 1961).
But I agree it would be nice to have a lot of divisional games down the final stretch!

I suspect that this might be the case, at least for the SL, now that we have an even number of teams...
