Scottish Scoops 31.009: September and Season's End Almanac

#1 Post by Vic »

Scottish Claymores
2031 Almanac: September

Narrative

If ever there was a bad time to go 18-8, this was it.

The Claymores, inexplicably, chose the September of a lost season - where the only consolation would have been a draft pick in, say, the top 5 - to go on a winning tear and screw up even that possibility.

Oh, make no mistake, the Claymores still have a terrible, terrible record. A humiliating record, even.

But five other teams managed to finish even worse, so Scotland can’t even console itself with one of those rarified picks.

It’ll be the 6th pick, though, so I guess we’ll need to be content with that.

But, suffice it to say: The Scottish Claymores are morons.

Happy to see Miguel Heredia adjust and do well coming in from the WIL.
