A Heartfelt Farewell

#1 Post by DougO »

I want to apologize to all the budding friendships I've made over my time here in the PEBA, but I've decided to bow out of the league. Everyone has been extremely friendly and helpful. I love the banter on Slack. I enjoy the stories on the forums -- written with passion and a love for baseball. It was everything I hoped it would be upon joining, but, since I'm also a part of another immersive, content driven league, I didn't expect the feeling of being pulled and torn from one league to another. Upon reflection, I realized I was putting all my effort into the other team and not Okinawa, likely because I was there longer and had more attachments. In the end, I felt it wasn't fair to the other GMs here for me not to be fully vested. I'm sorry.

Before I go, I want to tell you how special the guys who run this league are. I love the promptness and openness of communication. There's just so much passion and will to make this a great little nook of our lives. I'll be popping my head into the forums to read up on the stories.

Thanks for everything,
Doug Olmsted

Sorry to see you go, Doug.

Stop by often and keep an open mind about coming back. Former PEBA GM's have a high rate of recidivism.
