Re: Migration to OOTP 20
So, as many of you have already discovered, Steam users have had their copies of OOTP auto-updated to the latest version (as of today), that being v20.5.47. This version is not compatible with the earlier version we have used this past week or so. As a consequence, we all need to update to this version. Here is the link at OOTP:
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/board/s ... p?t=304313
I have updated, so if you have any questions about your export, please pop me a message and I'll check for you.

Re: Migration to OOTP 20
The following teams still have issues with the current exports, due to being from the wrong version:
Manchester, Okinawa, Palm Springs, Reno
Please update (see the link below) and re-export
San Juan has elected to pass on this sim - Mike, please be sure to catch up with the update by Friday - so you can set your spring training line-ups - games will be played Friday.
The following teams have not exported yet. Pleas update to the latest version before exporting:
San Antonio, New Orleans and Canton

Re: Migration to OOTP 20
Thanks, Mike. Can anyone offer specific, point-by-point instructions for how to complete the update? I did what I thought would work based on the OOTP instructions; but clearly it did not work.

Re: Migration to OOTP 20
Jeff - if you've already migrated to v20, all you need to do is download the new version from OOTP's site (the link above) and replace the previous game app with the newly downloaded version - that's it!!

Thanks, Mike. But that’s what I thought that I had done. So I actually thought that I was in good shape, what with the tracker showing my export. I can try again; but unfortunately I won’t be able to do it again until tomorrow (since the game is on my work computer).

No, it didn't come through - let's keep trying tomorrow - Friday's sim is the one you want to hit.Maulers wrote:Thanks, Mike. But that’s what I thought that I had done. Re: Migration to OOTP 20
Ok; I'm pretty sure everything worked this time. It installed a new version of the game and then I was able to proceed normally!

Re: Migration to OOTP 20
So OOTP and Steam seem to be up to it again, conspiring against us online leaguers. They put out a new version yesterday (Version 20.5.52), and it's already been pushed to Steam users (or so it seems), so we all will need to update. I can not speak to whether that was the root of yesterday's sim crash issue, but it's fair to say it may have - i don't discount anything.
We should all update as soon as you can. As of now, the un-updated file seems to be accepting updated Steam exports... If you have an issue, please contact me and we'll try to accommodate anyones needs...
