I haven't actually. I don't really play any social deduction in person other than One Night Ultimate Werewolf with my kids, which is... not terribly fun yet. The folks I game with aren't big social deduction fans. From reading a lot about BotC, it strikes me as a well tuned version of forum mafia suitable for in person games. It takes out one of the big meatspace problems of player elimination, and adds a novel voting mechanism to the wide role variety. I've read through one forum game of BotC, which had a few problems, but I think a tweak or two could make it work. My interest in it is more along those lines.
I love this game Frank. Addicted.

How will roles be determined? Random assignment or will the host assign them in secret?

Why aren't you signing up for this game? I was contemplating actually making this a BotC game instead of Mafia if we don't get a full complement of players. I think BotC might work better for a low player count.

They will be randomly assigned in secret. I'll send out PM's with your character, role, and team at the start of the game.

Sorry for the delay here... just been super busy. Sets are made and setup figured. Just need to take pictures and get things kicked off. Until that time, you are welcome to sign up.

Unfortunately, you've had to wait...

Fortunately, that wait is almost over...

Pictures have been taken. I'll be sending out role PM's to our 6 participants tonight or tomorrow. You will be expected to read the rules (they will be slightly different than previous games) and confirm that you're ready to go. Once I get that, Day 1 will go up.
