Can the Dino's make their first PEC? Looks like we'll have a pair of new teams in the PEC and a new champ this season.
Thanks Mike, it was a pretty crazy series, I believe two 14 inning games and the home team only won one game in the series. I believe this is the first time Fargo has ever made it past the first round in the franchise history. Looking forward to Neo-Tokyo.

I just noticed that 2 great ex-WV players retired in AAA this year. Chris York and Ieyoshi Ishikawa. Also 2 ex-minor leagues Andrew Mothen and Todd Ayres.

I wasn't around for their time in West Virginia, but they were indeed great players. Ishikawa had one really nice bounce back year for you. He was a terror with the Hitmen.

York's another great example of how WAR for pitchers doesn't seem to match with the expectations, particularly for relievers/lower innings totals. OOTP has his WAR for 2024 much higher than 2025 despite a worse ERA, worse WHIP, and fewer innings. Sure, he had a much lower FIP, but it seems to me that the results were better even if the means of getting there wouldn't typically work out as well.

You got me looking at transaction logs, and I'm super excited to see Yovhannes Pahlevanian still around! What a name!

I'd just like to see Pahlevanian on the back of a jersey. A tailoring challenge and then some!

Glad "Moondog" decided to retire ... I ran across him in the free agent pool mid-season after he'd been released (and before he was signed to his minor league contract) and it just seemed kind of a sad way to play out the string.

I'm awaiting his 2011 draft class mate, 'Stork' Holbrook, drafted directly after him, to retire - he's been seamless all season - I'd like to bring him in as a coach...

Thanks everyone!

Congrats to West Virginia, just about every game was back and forth, an exciting series.

Rob Rains get's the MVP for clobbering 6 HRs during the playoffs and leading the team in hitting (.928 OPS), not to shabby for 43 year old who just earned his second championship ring.
