Alas, Clayton’s time in Toyama is over. With his contract expiring and his refusal to sign anything with the Wind Dancers, it’s time to use that budget space to improve elsewhere.

Thank you for the quick negotiations. It wasn't something I was looking to do in trading Castillo, but when you said Lewis could be had for a swap of pitchers, I figured might as well since I am all in for the playoffs.

I hope Castillo flourishes in Toyama.

I have Mauro Hernandez bookmarked as an interesting PEBA character and I look forward to seeing how he does next year!

Interesting trade. I liked Clayton a lot but there was no way to get those financials to work. Nice deal on both sides
