The Logan's Run rule

#1 Post by Morris Ragland »

Player age limits at minor league levels are dealt with in this rule from the constitution (recent changes are bracketed):
Each sim, every GM will ensure the rosters of all teams of all levels that are in-season meet all requirements listed below:

Major League Roster: 23-2[6] players, no age limit
AAA: 23-2[7] players, no age limit
AA: 23-2[7] players, no age limit
A: 23-2[7] players, age must be 24 years old or less
Short Season A: 23-35 players, age must be 23 years old or less
These age limits are checked every regular season sim and players much be age-eligible every regular season sim. So, if a player ages out of a level during the season they go up or out.

In the past the rule was if they were of age during any part of season and didn't move up, they could stay in league they were in.

This might be hard coded in to the game.

I know I have gotten warnings about player age a few times mid season.

This is how it’s been in the past, but once you moved them up, they couldn’t go back...

The latest version of the game will age out a player. I notice this that it will warn you before an export.
