I think as long as he stays healthy and gets up into contention this year I will be happy.

His asking price was something around 15 mill per. He seriously underestimated his free agent value.Warriors wrote:I think as long as he stays healthy and gets up into contention this year I will be happy.

We definitely had the opportunity for a bidding war this off-season with fewer days within simulations. In years past the highest initial offer might have signed him for much less.

That was the crazy contract in my eyes. At least Mercer has a track record that one can count on. When Provost got his monster deal, he had already won 4 Golden Arms (and since won another and finished second to his teammate). Dang is a total crap shoot - and although his ratings look ok now, as my scout sees him, he may walk a few more than tolerable and give up quite a few more HRs, too boot... plus, at 31, you never really can count on ratings staying high - this could be a pricy deal for the 'Gnats - at least one can manipulate that last vesting option and save some cash...Warriors wrote:Yeah I was in on Kang until it got over 30 mil,

Top pitching is tough to come by and did not see any comparable talent out there next season. Even given the lack of movement, he's a ground ball pitcher, so I'm not as worried. I'm projecting him to be one step below Nitro. I trust my new scout formerly of Florida... I have my other top talent locked in at reasonable prices, so had the salary room to spare in the staff for future seasons. I project him to be my number 3 guy and Contu to move on after this season, so he also fills a void that we can afford.Borealis wrote:That was the crazy contract in my eyes. Typically the older players like this from overseas can pitch longer in age, so worth the chance to stay competitive with you guys. He doesn't have a huge innings pitched history to prematurely wear him down.
Also, all chips in right now next 2-3 years. My top talent is mostly all age range 27-30 so this is whats left of the Gnat's window. With Duluth strong and Fargo getting stronger - needed to be all chips in to get a chance in the Great Lakes.
Got him for just under 30M. If it went over 30M I was going to bail out.

Can we start getting players ready for CP points? Also, How do I tell if the player had been sent before that may not have been with my team in previous years?

Start here, and work backwards through the thread. Also, try this one. They should jive...Warriors wrote:Can we start getting players ready for CP points? Also, How do I tell if the player had been sent before that may not have been with my team in previous years?

I’d say if you’re personal accounting is complete, it’s probably time to submit... I think Morris was just waiting on article, blogging counts... I know mine is complete in his file...Sandgnats wrote:Are the counts final and is it time to procure our rewards?Borealis wrote:I suppose we could start following this post from last season...

Entering the data can be a pain for him, but not sure what simulation he wants to be the deadline to be.
