That said, Tomas Flores is hitting .267 with 9 HR, 50 RBI and 22 SB (in 35 attempts). We had hoped he would have shined a little bet with the offensive numbers, but he's provided us with the defense we needed in Hales absence - 3 E and 14 runners thrown out. He's second in the SL in Total Chances, Put Outs, Assists and Defensive Efficiency (for CFers) and is tops in Zone Rating - whatever the hell that is. As was the case with Hale, it was the defense that was key from our CF position.
All in all, I think this was a trade that helped both teams fill a need!
