Re: Trade between SS and NT
I need some starting pitching depth. So who better to take a flyer on than the GOAT?
If nothing else this makes sure that SS leaves at least a trace on the record of the first surefire Hall of Famer...

He deserves better than NT. Hopefully he can get another ring with SS.

I'm going to be rooting for Shin Seiki whenever "Fireworks" toes the rubber. Let's see if the Evas can help him to career win #260!

Re: Trade between SS and NT
Happy birthday Fireworks! Forty years old and still taking the mound to face the SL's best....he is an absolute legend.
So far this year he seems to be faring much better against right-handed hitters than left-handed, though his ratings show no obvious reason for that. We'll see if that turns around for him in Shin Seiki. Best of luck to him (when not facing Palm Springs of course).

Probably not for long. OOTP will cripple him soon enough I suspect ...Mike Dunn wrote:My god... he's still playing??!!!

He's already down to flyer level. But who knows?Leones wrote:Probably not for long. OOTP will cripple him soon enough I suspect ...Mike Dunn wrote:My god... he's still playing??!!!
I could see him piecing together a few more seasons beyond this as reliever.
