Genesis Field to expand to Maximum Capacity

Genesis Field to expand to Maximum Capacity

The Shin Seiki Evas have announced plans to expand seating capacity at Genesis Field to 65,000 - which is the largest allowed under the current PEBA Constitution.

The project was described by team officials as "mop-up" work from the 2022 opening of the new park and 2025 addition of 9,000 additional seats. Rather than adding an entirely new section or making a major addition, the focus of this wave of changes is to cram every last person. A final row of seats will be added to the very top of the Upper Deck, open spaces will be reduced to allow for extra rows of seating through out the park and some sections will be rearranged to fit in a few more seats.

The Evas GM had the following to say about the project:

"The Sovereign League is incredibly competitive right now. From our own increasingly competitive division, to that perennial power house over in Aurora, to the two time defending SL champs in Crystal Lake to the revitalized Duluth Warriors - there is no shortage of teams forcing us to get better and to utilize every possible advantage. These additional seats will help provide resources to fuel our continued run of contention. Not to mention the fact that they'll allow even more of our amazing fan base to experience Eva Baseball in person. We will continue to push the limits of what can be done in order to continue to deliver the level of performance that the Eva Empire demands."

The project is projected to be completed in time for opening day 2026. Season tickets for the new seats are available for sale now!
Kevin V. - GM of the Shin Seiki Evas.
