I am bias because the Phillies are my team, but here's a feel good story by the former governor of PA about 27 year old Brock Stossi who finally made it to the majors after being drafted in the 33rd round in 2011.

Re: Opening Week Stories
That's interesting that he's a firstbaseman and made it finally, I could see a guy making it as utility infielder, back up catcher, or reliever at an advanced age, but they must like his bat enough despite the likelihood that he's already at his peak potential by his age. If he stick around he'll definitely get some pinch hit plate appearances and spot starts with interleague play.Sandgnats wrote:I am bias because the Phillies are my team, but here's a feel good story by the former governor of PA about 27 year old Brock Stossi who finally made it to the majors after being drafted in the 33rd round in 2011.

Its a great story, an inspiration to the hundreds of low round picks throughout the minors.
