By WAR, Bryant is still better. But as noted, it has gotten pretty close of recent by multiple measures.
Duffy has certainly helped my roto team lately :)
I think pitchers have figured out Bryant and he isn't making the adjustments. He's been brutally bad for over a month now. 0 for 3 with 2 more k's tonight with that game in the bottom of the 6th. Duffy, on the other hand, just doubled home 2 runs and scored another. Duffy has been remarkably consistent, .313 in May, .313 in June, .316 in July, .400 so far in August.
Thank you, gentlemen, for all the generous help. I was about to follow Matt's suggestion of uninstalling OOTP16 and starting over from scratch, when I got the reminder that I hadn't downloaded the latest update patch. Did that, and lo-and-behold, the game loaded!

FWIW, Baseball-Reference WAR likes Duffy (3.6 WAR), the Pirates' Jong-ho Kang (3.3), and the Cards' Randal Grichuk (3.0) all better than Bryant (2.7).

Mark my words.
And the Panda will strike out 486 times this year!!! FWIW, when you look up 'burning bridges' in the dictionary, you'll see Sandoval's picture...
We always had hints that Sandoval was a slacker. But man, what an ass he really turned out to be. Doesn't want to come back to the Giants because they keep him on conditioning program? Feels disrespected? What a joke. If not for that conditioning program, the fat ass would already be out of baseball.
Let's remember the truth about this guy. He was benched in the 2010 playoffs because he was out of shape. It was that conditioning program that got him that fat contract with the Red Sox. What an ungrateful self centered steaming pile the guy turned out to be.
I've been saying all along, the two worst signings of the entire off-season are the Sandoval signing and the Ramirez signing by the Red Sox. Sandoval will eat his way out of a job in a matter of months, and Ramirez is a clubhouse cancer.
