History: Scottish Claymores Museum and Hall of Fame

#1 Post by Vic »

Welcome to the Scottish Claymores
Heroes of the Heath Museum and Hall of Fame

The Heroes of the Heath Museum and Hall of Fame was established following the end of the 2028 season under the direction of General Manager Vic Caleca to celebrate the players, coaches, executives, staff and fans of the Scottish Claymores franchise.

This museum celebrates the past, present and future of the team that began life in Japan as the Fushigi Yugi Celestial Warriors in the League of the Rising Sun, then moved to the Planetary Extreme Baseball Alliance as the Dayton Flyers, and made a final move to Edinburgh to play as the Scottish Claymores.

Here you will find records of great accomplishments, biographies of baseball heroes, and a celebration of all things Claymore. And be sure to come back often, for this is a living museum that constantly updates, adds, and augments its exhibits.

We want to thank our sponsors, Scottish Widows insurance and Chivas Brothers distillery, for their assistance in creating this celebration of baseball in Scotland. Be sure to visit the Claymores Pub on the second floor and sample the full range of Chivas products while watching great games from the Scottish past on one of the nation's largest custom holo-screens.

And now, please follow the signage to enter - and enjoy - this unique celebration of baseball excellence.

Nice!!

Vic asked me about this, and I thought it was an excellent idea. How cool would it be for teams to have these - to delve into the past... with a team's criteria being what they want it to be! I know that Aurora's first class would have a posthumous enshrinee... I can't wait to see what you come up with Vic!

I’m looking to dig out things like Claymores/Flyers/Celestial Warriors who had three homer games, etc. maybe an all-name wing ... who knows. Lots of possibilities!

Will probably set some criteria for entrance into the actual hall: must have been retired for, say, 5 years and played for the club a certain number of seasons, etc.

Jasper will not meet the entrance requirements ...

Thanks, Mike. I’m going to put one more player into the hall and maybe a manager - will induct two players a year, for now. Also will add a section on franchise category leaders, a section on the postseason, and I’m thinking of a “great moments” section, too, if I can find posts from the neat/not neat files and the LRS archive. We’ll see - lot’s of possibilities!
