New Jersey Recieves:
2b Britt Martin
MR Luis Cantú (SS-A)
San Antonio Recieves:
CL Shiro Shimizu
New Jersey's 3rd round draft choice
We eat a chunk of salary, but maybe we can squeeze one last year of Shimizu before he is totally washed up. A bit of a gamble, but if it goes bust we have a 3rd round pick to keep us warm. Always a pleasure dealing with Mike.
EDIT: Please place Shimizu in the closer role at San Antonio

It's a brave new world when the Calzones are acquiring draft picks in trade... and excited about it

Re: Trade between SA and NJ
Mostly contracts going back and forth here, so I thank Matt once again for getting creative in a way that should help us both. While Shimizu leaving might make our bullpen weaker, I will be ever thrilled for more freedom financially. This way I should be able to pick up at least one more arm for insurance this year. Maybe bring back an ex-Hitmen we shall see. But despite having tons of new arms this season, I am feeling pretty confident with them. The lineup is still lethal, the defense is still impressive, I think I will be fine one way or another. Top spot is mine to lose so no use sitting on my hands doing nothing
