Nothing like, "Thanks for the Wunderkind, smell ya later!"
I'm always wary when a division rival receives good young players.

Yuma confirms the following trade with Crystal Lake:
Yuma Receives:
CF Jay White
SS Emilio Manuel
CL 1st round pick (18 overall)
CL Receives:
SP Phil Burns (AAA)
2B Jim Klein (AAA)
This was fun. Brian kept exploring alternative player deals and sweetening the pot. When he offered his first round draft pick, I couldn't resist. No doubt, when the Yuma GM recovers from his latest episode of electroshock therapy, he will be upset with us trading away one of his prized young arms. But we have so many ...

Re: Trade between CL and YUM
Indeed. Tough pill to swallow trading away a young guy like Manuel, but long term I do think it will benefit the organization given the holes we had to fill elsewhere. The roster purge rolls on....Warriors wrote:Nothing like, "Thanks for the Wunderkind, smell ya later!"
I am very interested however to see how the 'Dozers fare this year. Their young pitching talent is unmatched and now that Bob is beginning to add pieces to the offense, I'm intrigued to see whether or a Reno-style emergence takes place in 2018. Hoping that Manuel and White both play up to expectations for the Bulldozers this coming season
