I gave Yamada the 'Mjølnir' nick name. I couldn't not get Hawkins.

I had never seen the game give a player a nickname based on a previously existing character. So cool.

Yuma, having returned to a wi-fi zone this morning, confirms this trade. And thanks Kevin for such an equitable exchange.

I think we may have found our new "Trader Matt (Kevin)." I am just curious, why trade for Johnson only to trade him away after one outing? It almost seems like flipping houses.

To swap for Victor Latham?

I had intended to keep Johnson when I got him, but Latham looks to be an upgrade and a potential candidate for an extension. This wasn't a move that I foresaw when I got Johnson.

I was inclined to move my 3rd because I didn't think I'd be able to stay around for the whole draft.

Hawkins had a lot of things that I liked too - from that nickname, to his defense to his excellent power for a SS. He could wind up being a useful D/platoon piece.

Irwin was never going to make my team, so better to move him to recoup some value.

I might have given up a bit too much if I don't extend Latham, but as Mike said, I am virtually all in for 2025.

As we approach the draft, trying to keep things correct, I believe that this trade actually is Crystal Lake's #2 and Florida's #3...
