Underground - A new beginning

#1 Post by Underground »

So as we start to progress through the 2025 off season the new London GM has been extremely quiet. But he has now broken cover to put forward his thoughts for the future of the franchise. He was quick to stress that the team is on a road to nowhere and with it's history it should be doing a lot better. Unfortunately this means the team will need a major overhaul. When asked who might be on the chopping block he replied 'anyone and everyone'.
The team needs rebuilding from the ground up so expect lots of comings and goings before spring training. It will be a long hard road for the Underground and could take a few seasons to turn things around.

That high draft position in 2026 should help with the rebuilding.

There are a lot of advantages to not having to win every possible game immediately.

There are the obvious ones like trading proven talent for prospects.

But there are also opportunities in things like signing talented free agents that go unsigned and flipping them as rental talent later.

The more activity the better. Glad to see thing off to an active start.
