PEBA-Cast Episode 6 - Draft and Mid-Season Awards!

#1 Post by KenH »

Hey guys! RJ and I are back to talk about the latest news in the past months of PEBA action. In this episode we primarily talk about the draft and our predictions for who will win end of the year awards. We really don't do these nearly enough... We almost spent an hour on just the draft!

Listen Here!!!

Really had a great time doing the podcast again with RJ and we're really excited to see what you guys think.

As always, if you have any topics you want us to cover or any suggestions on how to improve the show, please let us know.

Thanks again!

Great podcast guys . . . . but even greater was what followed lol. I let Soundcloud run on after it finished and it randomly threw up a podcast called “Taming the wild” which it was at pains to point out that it was an archived podcast and the first & only one of the podcast. The presenters introduced themselves as Adam Coldbeer & Bug West above a lot of plane engine noise. They gleefully announced that they were 30,000 ft above Indiana and were about to “tactically parachute into Chrisdorner National Park in order to show you the best survival strategies there is in a modern era”

I couldn’t spare another hour of my life to find out why it was the only episode, would it end with a sudden “Arrrghhh, there’s a bear !!” when they suddenly discovered that they weren’t the best survival strategies or a “Don’t lean into that ravine too far Bug”? If you feel the urge to investigate it’s called “E1 - Taming the Wild - 72. Please search for it and tell me the ending lol.

By the way the PEBA podcast was definitely worth a listen

I'm glad I'm not the only one who laughs like a 16-year-old when looking at the Timber's default logo.

Maybe we should work on getting an actual logo for them.

Yeah, that logo is a little much ... but we in the Claymores’ system pronounce it “Fook” rather than the NSFW alternative.

By the way, guys, outstanding podcast, again. I listened to it in the hospital waiting room, and the folks around me kept inching away as I couldn’t help but snickering. I’m lucky I didn’t get a psych ward referral ...

Well done.

Great job. I enjoy these. Maybe try to interview other GMs about their teams. Either directly or you two could PM questions and read the GM's answers on air with comments from you both.

I like this idea. Hearing from other GMs on the show would be really cool and I'd love to get everyone on at some point. I think maybe we'll do an awards show at some point... interview the PEBA champion, the rookie cup winner, and the GM of the year.

I know you didn't talk about the picks after the 10th, but y'all sleeping on Torcall Penrose. The kid is stellar and was immediately rushed to AAA. But look at those stats!

torcall's doing great! I think we mentioned we could have done literally hours of podcast just talking about the draft. We had to have a cut-off point. Top 10 made sense. There was no sleeping on him ;)

I think a "Flashback Moment" segment would be a cool way to visit the lore of the league--I sure would like to hear your guy's favorite PEBA memories.

Fantastic podcast!

We really lucked out on Nieves and Kossan. They (particularly Nieves) was high-ish on my draft list, but didn't think they'd be both available.
I almost fell out of my chair. Thank goodness for a short first round!
