Confirmed. After giving up the moon, stars and some constellations, the biggest salary in PEBA is moved off of Charleston. That is, if Conan agrees.

If the trade goes through:

1. promote SP Toyokazu Matsumoto (AAA) from Raleigh to Charleston and give him a starter slot.
2. change MR Nick Ball from a spot starter/middle reliever to a regular starter.

Wow, that's a big deal (no pun intended). Hefty price Charleston paid to rid themselves of about $35mil worth of contract. I can sympathize with operating in the red -- it ain't easy to trade large and even large-ish contracts in this here PEBA.

We have projected revenue that far exceeds our cash max and Conan is pitching well. We believe we can use his veteran presence in on our pitching staff. It will be interesting to see if he agrees to play for the great fans of Reno.

I can see why CST wants that contract off their books. However, this looks like a very steep price...
