Trade between FLA and OMA

#1 Post by klewis »

Omaha receives:
Florida's 2nd round 2019 draft pick
Florida's 3rd round 2019 draft pick

Florida receives:
SP Dean O'Monahan

Thanks Jason for the quick deal. Not sure if Fate will veto the deal but hopefully he will like a return to the Dixie and IL.

Edit to add assignment instructions for O'Monahan: A 40-man roster spot has been cleared for Dean O'Monahan. Please put him on the active roster and place him in the "Middle Reliever #3" depth chart.

Glad Jason was able to find a taker for Fate...I inquired about him, decided not to pull the trigger, and now he's in my division.* :-P

Yeah, we will see if Fate accepts. Having lost Cantu and Garcia, the Featherheads needed to bolster some pitching. I feel bad for Cantu. He was looking to have one amazing season before he went down.

He's not a 10/5 player anymore. Is there another reason it wouldn't happen?

We accept.

Dean asked to be traded to a contender and is furious. I can't imagine him NOT waiving it but I guess he could...

Gotcha. I thought those were new to v13. I can never keep track of the different features.

Nah... Fate has had one for a few years... I'd expect he will do very well in Florida...

Interesting trade, as it doesn't change the Dixie too much if you think Florida would have been fine without Cantu. I'd say this makes the team stronger in the short term, so rebuilding Dixie teams probably wouldn't mind it too much. Good trade on both sides.

Dean does not object to the trade. It will be processed in tomorrow's sim.

I'm happy to Fate accept the trade.

Jim/Board of the PEBA - I have edited my original trade post to include assignment instructions for Dean O'Monahan. Please put him on the active roster in the middle reliever #3 depth chart. I'm in the middle of a 17-game without an off day stretch... so I'll definitely will need his arm this sim
