Trade between Bakersfield and Okinawa

#1 Post by Ghosts »

Bears go all in to try to stay competitive with Aurora down the stretch, acquiring slugger "Red Hook" Bothwell from Okinawa.

Bakersfield receives:
1B Alex Bothwell

Okinawa receives:
SP Kosami Suzuki (A)
SP Sa-yoor Ch'oe (SS-A)
C Roberto Ortega (A)
Bakersfield 4th Round Pick

1B Bothwell will slot into the starting 1B and cleanup role.
*To make it simple, players from my other trade OF Hooper and OF/DH Ricks will bat 5th and play RF and bat 6th and play DH. Active roster is at 23 to accommodate these three incoming players.

Best of luck during the rebuild, Shisa, I'm sure at least one of those fireballers will pan out and I'll be keeping tabs on Ortega as I think he'll be a solid performer.

Okinawa confirms. As much as I hate coming in and making moves like this, it became apparent really quick I wasn’t going to be able to resign him.

Ortega was drafted in THIS season's draft and is therefore ineligible to be traded until the offseason.

Please replace him in the trade and repost below.

A great deal for both teams, so when you correct the error, could you please edit the original post, and Jim, could you please reconfirm it by quoting the newly repaired first post... Thanks!

Re-approved. Hope there’s no Curse of the Ortega-Bambino here!

Thanks, Dan.
