2028 Playoffs

I figured I'd post this message I shared on Slack, here, for all to follow-up on. We will you this thread as the official communication point for moving the playoffs forward.

Hey Dan (and everyone else). As I've posted (in) a couple of places, we will move at a much faster pace during the playoffs and (not quite so fast) post/off season... basically, once all GMs involved have exported and said they are set in the forums (or in some manner have indicated they are ready to go - I prefer here), I will run that particular sim. In theory, we could go every day. I will not sim more than once a day.

Should a GM involved in the playoffs NOT export by the corresponding M/TH sim time, I will run the sim without an export. I will announce any necessary change to that - as circumstances dictate. If a GM needs more time, it would be appreciated if I was made aware of this. We want to move quickly, yet fairly.

Once we are through with the playoffs, I will post an offseason schedule.

To clarify my comment above, if we run a sim on a Wednesday, and I haven't received a new export by Saturday night (3 days), I will move forward without you - unless I am provided with compelling reasons why I should wait.

Not to jinx myself, but should the Bears make it in I'll be back in town on Tuesday night 4/16, so I don't expect to miss any potential playoff action.

So here we are - the 2028 playoffs!!! Congrats to all the teams who have qualified for this years race for the Rodriguez Cup!! Old-time GMs, Rookie GMs, it's all too exciting!!

So, here's the deal - I need every team in the playoffs to trim their rosters back down to 26. The game will not advance - and then bring up the playoff roster screen, until we get our rosters trimmed down. And through experimentation, that's ALL playoff teams. So if everyone can make those changes (and of course, any other changes you may need to do) and then export as soon as you can - then post here in this thread that you are good. When I see all 10 teams are exported, I will run a 1-day sim that should take us to day 1 of the Wild Card and expose our playoff rosters to fill out.

I will say that Bakersfield has already noted that they are out until Tuesday night, so we may have to at least wait until then, if not Wednesday. The Scottish may be delayed as well.

Once we get that out of the way, when the Wild card teams are ready to go and have exported - and posted here as being ready, I will go ahead and sim. We will 'rinse and repeat' that process through the post-season. I will go as fast as the playoff GMs export - but I will not sim more than one cycle per day. We will follow the plan listed below.

So for now, playoff teams, get those rosters trimmed and exported and as soon as those are all in, post that here, we will begin to move forward!
