New GM of the Amsterdam Lions

#1 Post by Malts »

Hey all,

My name is Jim and I'll be taking over the Amsterdam Lions from here on out. I am decently familiar with OOTP playing on and off again since OOTP 16 but this is my first time playing in an online league and I think I lucked out being able to join the PEBA based on what I've seen as an outsider.

With how rough of shape Amsterdam is in my first go around managing against other real life GMs, I think I definitely have my work cut out for me. But, it sounds like everyone is very accommodating and helpful especially with a noobie like me but I am looking forward to turning Amsterdam around!

I'm based out of Lincoln, NE and while the Omaha Stormchasers are the closest MLB affiliate, we actually have the Lincoln Saltdogs as the home town team that play in the American Assocaition of Independent Professional Baseball.

The Reds are my team of choice for the MLB.

I also have OOTP for Steam so feel free to add me on their as a friend if anyone else does: iamtheyetii

Can't wait to get started!

Welcome aboard, Jim!

You picked a fun day to join. The trade deadline is tomorrow's sim, so there should be a lot of opportunity for wheeling and dealing today if you're of a mind to do so.

Hi Jim, welcome! Our daughter lived in Omaha for a couple of years while doing an apprenticeship with with the Omaha Community Theater, so we got over there several times year. Sorry to say we never caught up with the Stormchasers. We really enjoyed Omaha, though. The old downtown section along the river is a lot of fun.

Hope you enjoy your stay in PEBA, May it be a long one! The Claymores and Lions play each other quite a bit, so I look forward to renewing the rivalry!

Again, welcome!

Welcome to the Madness that is PEBA, Jim!

When you're struggling with those Amsterdamians, just look at where the Bulldozers are sleeping in the cellar, and you'll feel better.
