Contract Reminders

Hey Guys!
I want to put out a reminder of the contract rules that were adopted on 2/27/2018 that streamlined the contract offer process. In particular I want to point out Article V.5: Extensions to players with fewer than six years of ML service time cannot exceed two years in length.
This rule is there to prevent the mass buy-out of all a players pre-arby and/or arby years. The Board expects that any contract will meet the stated rule, but will, in good faith - and with our discretion, examine exceptions on a case by case basis, in an attempt to be reasonable and fair, as the Common Sense Accord intends. But... did I say the Board expects...??
Experience tells me we are approaching a time where teams begin looking ahead to next season, financially, and I want us to be clear so there is little confusion or hurt feelings. We have already had a contract that needed reworking, hopefully to everyones satisfaction.
