New post on recruitment forums

#1 Post by kiersteadmo »

Hi,

Sorry it's through this means but I was having an issue opening the form on the site.

I'm a lapsed OOTP player and was looking to get back into it again. I actually managed the Statesmen what seems like ages ago and really enjoyed my time in the league but personal circumstances got in the way and it was cut far too short. When I seen there was an opening I felt I would have to look into it at least.

I've managed in a couple of different leagues but the main bulk of my time has been served in the Summit Baseball League where I was most recently the GM of the Red Sox until my laptop pretty much disintegrated. In total I spent 13 seasons there and a couple in Charleston and like I said it was some real life stuff that got in the way.

If you want any more details or whatever please feel to ask and my email is [noted but edited out] if that's preferred.

If they are available I'd really have to go for the Claymores as I'm a Scot myself and really it was thinking about potential storylines that got me to even write this!

Hope to hear from you,
David

Nice, it’s good to see former GM’s return. Looks like the Claymores may be open too since Paul has not been on since early January.

Has anyone reached out to this person? GM's can be hard to come by, and a former GM returning would be a good thing.

Good to have you back, David.

It says a lot about our league that quite a few GMs return to the fold.

Most (all?) of the links in the recruitment post are broken.
We have numerous contract issues and cannot access the rules for contracts (PEBA Constitution)

I posit that recruiting for an immersive writing league won't go well until we get our house in order. The website issues should be addressed before we go hanging our shingle for new members. Otherwise we'll just be scaring off anyody who is interested.

I agree we should get everything in order before we do a big recruitment push, but it's doesn't hurt to bring in players that pop up before. That post on the forum is not updated, Mike just bumped it to see if there was any interest.

That being said, we should get a roll on fixing the things that were discussed.

Dylan has posted a clean link to the Constitution in one of the discussion threads - I suggest that we place a version copy of the constitution in... the Announcement forum? And let's link our OOTP ad directly to that - as of now, at least, the forums are working and peeps can get the info they need... maybe link all other vital info into that new thread...
