With long-term injuries to our Opening Day closer and starting CF, SS, and 3B, and a series of nagging injuries to SS Chris Long (probably occurred from swimming around in cash in his vault a la Scrooge McDuck), the 2026 season is a total washout.

Trade block.

Also, the 2026 Draft is a bust for the Longshoremen. And talk about some weird demands, check these out:

6th round pick (HS CL): "significantly above $1.7M"
7th round pick (HS SP): "significantly above $2.6M"
8th round pick (HS 2B): "significantly above $4.2M"

I get really wanting to go to college, but man!

It's only fake money. Give it to them.
Except they stink on ice. And the 6th rounder is out for 8-9 months with a torn rotator cuff. These millennials, man, they're something.

That draft... yuck.

I'm seriously considering trading all of my prospects and picks and cutting all of my funding to my minor league system.

No use dumping money in to the system if I'm just going to be assigned completely useless prospects.

While I know we broke up our sim in 2 before the last file, the games for the first 6 days boxes are all screwy, though the ones before and the one after are ok. I just wonder if something happened (bug maybe) during that 1 day sim after draft that caused most players to be put on teams instead of negotiating.

Also a reminder that it looks like short season A ball starts this sim, so make sure to trim your rosters and set your lineups.

I may be mistaken, but I think the sim takes us to Short A Opening Day, so I think we have this sim to manipulate rosters...

Though, I've been wrong before...

Maybe this is a schedule issue but my team has a game scheduled on the 14th, and it’s currently the 8th and sim schedule says we are going up to the 15th so I’m gonna trim it down just in case.
