Ooof, you weren't joking. Looks like personnel reputation took a hit as well, even though ratings are the same.

So, what do I need to do to upgrade PEBA to OOTP 18?

Any instructions?

All I had to do was import from 17 into 18. Just one click and everything went smoothly.

So literally just go into 18 and click "Import from OOTP17" then just select the PEBA "world.dat" file. That should be it.

Link to the full league file is in the announcement box.

You can download and unzip that.

Bears are showing massive declines across the board as well, so must just be the way the 1-10 ratings translate. Maybe they are closer to "true" ratings, wheras in the past I think it didn't take much to get to the middle numbers like 5, 6, 7.

Exports on statslab is just getting an error file. I basically did what Dylan did and it seemed to work fine but this would be a good time to double check.

Otherwise my guys attributes seemed to increase not go down

Grim scouting reports in SS too.

Glad to hear that the true scores are unchanged... but this is jarring.

Agreed. What sucks is this is FA, and now I don't know who to sign at all as I don't know how to translate the scores yet... GRRRR

Here's one of the most disconcerting one on the Front Range - and he went to Winter Ball to improve his K number... here's hoping there's a bounce back!!

Also I have noticed that aside from position rating, our pitchers have no defensive ratings on their main page - you have to go to the ratings page, but they do have Batting ratings on their main page... Ppppppfffffffftttttttt....

This is such a drastic change.... was it advertised as a revamp to the way ratings are displayed? If the underlying ratings didn't change, then I guess it's no big deal but it will really take some getting used to as I pretty much had my top prospect ratings memorized but now a lot of them just look absolute trash.

We had this happen before and it does hurt a bit. I am going to review my players each over to see the major changes but Already see some of my players much lower.

Good news and Bad news

Good news for our opponents in 2026 Duluth got hammed in the stats change from 17 to 18
Bad news most of my players are worse , every pitcher was affected.

Here is a short look at some of my starters

Lets see if I can still win 100 games ;-D

The new stats almost look like the stat levels we were playing with back in the LRS. Back then I could count on "6" contact guy to hit .290 - but I wouldn't expect that out of anything less than an "8" in 2025 in PEBA.

If the shift is permanent it might actually be useful as the degree of difference between players who are just adequate in a stat and those that are very good seem to have been amplified.

Anyone else having issues exporting? I'm getting a "Could not upload file. Error -201:Connect error." And it's not my firewall, because I can export for my other OOTP18 on-line league just fine.

EDIT: Never mind; I figured it out. For some reason the accounts files didn't unzip, even though they downloaded as a part of the zipped file. The unzip process was a little wonky for some reason. [shrug]
