The deadline to avoid them being released will be this upcoming sim (Saturday April 8th)

So we need to have an open roster spot in minors for them or are they going into DFA and we put them somewhere in minors?

It won't let me DFA these players, so it would have to be an open roster spot.

I will have a bit more free time tomorrow to run a few tests in OOTP and i'll give an update.

I left a spot in AAA for Copeland and AA for Hinkle..

I will say... the way that OOTP handles this Rule 5 stuff is unbelievably inconsistent and clunky.

You can place Mike Harris somewhere in the minors. If he doesnt accept, then release him

So, turns out in Commish mode, if the player is released manually, OOTP places them DFA for the returning team.
That solves the "player floating in a PEBAverse vacuum" issue fairly easily, so no need for any drastic action by GM's.

The only exception for this time is you Greg, I moved the players to the teams you mentioned, since you had the roster spots ready.
But, all the other players mentioned, and from now on, they will simply appear DFA.
