2024 CP Spending

#1 Post by Morris Ragland »

Post CP reward selections in this thread.

Find current team CP here.

Find current list of players who have already attended Winter Ball here.

Be sure to follow this link to see the current spending rules. Constitution still needs to be updated.

Remember that maximum carry over is 600 pts, so any points over 600 left unspent will be lost.

Are the zeroed out teams vacant?

Also, this might be a good time to update the constitution to reflect the new Ballpark Reward rules. We can go larger than 55,000 now, right?

A we only allowed to improve 1 coaching personal per off season now? I know in the past it was as many as you wanted...And if it changed when did it change?

This is cutout from link, want to know if reading it right?

Improve Personnel – GMs may improve the rating in any category of any personnel within their organization. Exchange 30 CP to purchase one die roll. Each die roll determines the rating gain the personnel earn. The chances for gains are as follows (NOTE: Scale below reflects OOTP’s internal ratings scale, not the 1-10 ratings scale visible on the Personnel page):
15 point gain – 50 % chance
10 or 25 point gain – 20% chance each
5 or 30 point gain – 5% chance each

This may only be selected once per year.

Convert Player to Personnel: (20 CP) + an article. Please convert Tony 'Whitey' Carmona to manager.

Winter Ball, Miscellaneous Pitching – Stamina (60 CP) + $1,000,000. Please send Millard Norman (AAA) to Winter Ball to improve stamina.

Fan Interest: (40 CP) 2 points added to F.I.

Add 5000 seats (100 CP)

That's right. We have four vacant teams at the moment.

65,000 was the original maximum, and it was decided to return to that figure. You are correct.

With personnel ratings now hidden (boo to that), I wonder if many people would opt for this reward.

To answer your question, I'm not sure when that change was made, but it was likely made by Nigel with that iteration of the CP Rewards rules.

I read this as limiting you to enhancing one rating category for one guy, but you could purchase multiple 'rolls' (which could be accomplished with a random number generator, I suppose) on this enhancement if you so chose.

So Ron in Toyama is gone? That's a bummer. He just won the division too...

On the ballpark rewards, is it still "50 CP base cost +(3 CP + $70,000)/(100 seats)" when expanding past 55,000?

Yeah, he sent a PM during the off-season that he would be unable to GM the team right now due to time constraints.

I know I mentioned it in another thread (and I don't want to derail this thread's discussion to something else), but a reminder that there is a recruitment CP bonus offered if you guys know anyone that would enjoy our league. Any GM is able (and openly encouraged) to recruit like-minded individuals that would enjoy the PEBAverse. The league is always much more fun with a full set of GM's :D

Here are my picks:

Winter ball - Basic Batting "Total Package" - 2B Errol Landry - 110cp + $1,500,000
Winter ball - Learn New Pitch - SP Soetsu Aria - Knuckleball - 110CP + $500,000 (Note: Not possible because his work ethic is too low.)
Ballpark - Add 9,000 seats: 20cp/1,000 seats * 9,000 seats = 180cp

Total: 290cp + $1,500,000

Shisa CP Rewards

Winter Ball
SS Jose Lopez (ML), Infield Arm (50 CP), and Eye/Discipline (50 CP). Total 100 CP and $1,000,000.

Fan Interest
FI boost 7 points to max allowable (85), 140 CP.

Also, I don't believe that the $21,310,355 in construction costs was deducted last winter for new stadium construction, so I'm adding it here.

Total: 240 CP, $22,310,355.
