Playoff eligible rosters wonky?

#1 Post by Leones »

I noticed more than a few guys from my S A squad appearing as playoff eligible. That can't be right. Anybody else seeing anything like that? Anybody know how/why that might happen in case I'm missing something?

I have the same thing... guys who played on my ML club are missing while 7 seemingly random organizational filler guys are on there.

I have no idea why.

Gonna take a look into it. Update to come soon (as soon as possible during the holidays, anyway).

I'm not certain this is it - without looking, I do believe neither Sawmill or G. Rivera were on my playoff eligible list, and both were on DFA as of 9/1...
Yeah... they are there anyway - not sure why, I know Rivera was on the Waiver-DFA list... But I also have some odd balls who shouldn't be eligible (I didn't even look at that tertiary 'Eligible for PO' roster set): OF Troy Austin, SS Joe Lane, and C Julio Suarez - all of whom are from differing levels of the Aurora system, and all of whom have zero ML time, and all of whom can not be found anywhere else in the system - they are now on no other roster but the special PO Eligible roster...

I've got guys who were never DFA on my list. These guys have spent all season in minor league level ball. C Gustavo Ramirez is one example of one of these guys. Interestingly he doesn't appear anywhere in the PEBA online report here despite being with the club since 2021. I checked several of the others an they also do not appear on that page. Something is very amiss it seems.

Those that have this issue, could you compile a quick list of the players affected? You can either post it here, or PM me. We will take a look into it!

The above mentioned Austin, Lane and Suarez - none are game changers, but that they don't show up on my minor league rosters - yet if you click on them, the correct info is there... That's a concern...

From what I was able to find so far, a handful of minor leaguers were added to the list of players that are playoff-eligible. I PM'ed those who inquired about specific players.

As long as that minor league player is not added to the active roster, he will simply return to his minor league team at the end of playoffs with no effect on service time or anything else. Until then, the Board and I will try and find the source of these minor leaguers and why they were included in the first place... but it shouldn't have any effect on the actual outcome of the post-season since those players weren't going to be playing anyway.
