2024 International Amateur Free Agent Signing Results

#1 Post by Underground »

I was really excited to participate in my first International Amateur Free Agent signing opportunity for London. I successfully used advice provided on the forums by other GMs. If I knew then what I know now, I'd have signed more amateurs for more reasonable bonuses. Have already come up with a revised strategy for next season.

IMHO, C Cavaca was a steal. Jealous of the Shisa.

Re: 2024 International Amateur Free Agent Signing Results

#2 Post by Simon »

I actually didnt know of additional costs of signing international free agents, until i started throwing offers around. In previous years i never had money to sign anyone good.
But this time i had decent amount of cash on my hands, so i went a bit crazy there.

Since only one of those bonuses already makes San Antonio basically ineligible to sign any of the best agents next year, i wanted to make sure we're gonna sign 2 or 3 good ones this year. And i was happy to see all 3 of my offers accepted without negotiations. I also sent offers for 2 of the catchers, but was pretty sure someone else will get them, i didnt like them enough to pay additional few millions.

Anyway this makes San Antonio the biggest spender in International Free Agency, and we're proud we're finally leading the league in something.
