Carpenter hits a seeing-eye single up the middle ... and steals second base on a 1-1 count to River Pope.

Pope hit's an RBI single through the right side!

Dave Petersen grounds to Diaz for a 1-4-3 double play. 2 Out.

Leach grounds out, 6-3 to end the top of the first.

Bob Swift leads off with a single up the middle!

Pancho Moreno lines out to second. Throw to first, but Swift made it back swiftly. 1 Out.

Provost pulls the string, and gets Motoki Suzuki to strike out on a 74 MPH change. That speed differential almost isn't fair! 2 Out.

Old-timer Rob Raines delivers with a deep double to right field and ties it at 1-1.

Don Mercer flies out to left, stranding Raines at second. 3 out.
