PEBA writers,

I received the following call for stories about baseball memories from a former student trying to assemble and publish a book of such stories. I'm sending one to him, and I thought some of you might be interested in doing so as well.

Hi, Bob,

I am following up with you, almost two years later, on a request that your former student, Morgan Roberts, made of you. I am writing a book about baseball from the fan's perspective, gathering short stories, memories, from folks about their experiences with the game. Can be watching, playing or coaching, majors or little leagues, game-related or not. I was wondering if you had a memory to share; I also recall you telling Morgan that you would forward my request to friends.

Stories generally are not long, 1/2- 1/3 of a page. If you have one, and it would be easier for you to tell me over the phone, I would be more than happy to give you a call. Anyway that is easiest. As this project has gone along, all the boundaries regarding what I was expecting in content have been shattered; any connection with the game is, well, in play. A better description is below.

Thanks, Bob, and Morgan. I hope this message finds its way to you and that I hear back from you.

Sincerely,

Eric Gray
